Last night Laker & I went on a double date with Rachel & Ethan. 

First, we got all cozied up in our comfy outfits.

Then we went to Rachel’s, where they had made nacho fixings & we all ate too much. Rachel also got me this super cute Christmas plate. I’m in love with it (I did my nails yesterday too, so I was showing them off in this picture).

After dinner, we all went to see Rise of the Guardians. It was pretty cute. Not as Christmas-y as I had hoped, but not bad. There was a guy in front of us who came by himself. He had seen it before, but he laughed louder than anyone. He apparently worked at the theater, & he gave us this big long speech about kids’ books/movies after the movie was over. We thought we’d escaped him, but I ran to the bathroom afterwards, & when I got out, he was in the lobby talking to everyone again. Ugh. He was super nice, but geez.

When we finally got away from that guy, we walked around downtown & looked at the Christmas decorations. I was the most excited! These were at the Devon tower.

Then we all went our separate ways. Laker & I stopped at a gas station & he got me a giant hot chocolate.

Then we drove around Nichols Hills & looked at lights. We found this house, which I called a “rainbow-opolis magical land,” & Laker told me that’s what I have to call it from now on. Their electric bill must be through the roof.

Excited to keep exploring all the Christmas fun around Oklahoma!

Laker & I went on a picnic date this week & it was wonderful (: I made grilled mac & cheese sandwiches, bacon mac & cheese, & cheesy bacon potatoes. We also got those Bug Juice barrel drinks from when we were kids (: & I made peanut butter ball pretzels for dessert!

We colored with sidewalk chalk. His is the panda, & mine is the giraffe/dinosaur. & on the bottom is the grilled mac & cheese sandwich!

I also got us bubble wands (:

I get to marry this guy in 66 days, & I couldn’t be more excited (:

We went to the pharmacy to get my meds & this precious little old man was in front of us. I eavesdropped. His name is Elmer. 

Laker wasn’t sure if he believed that I actually killed some of those awful mosquito-looking assassin bugs by myself, so I took these pictures to prove it.

I had glitter nails for a while & I really liked them, but I wanted to tone them down a bit for my wedding shower this weekend. They’re gold now (:

Once I got the polish off (Glitter is awful to take off. It took like 45 minutes), I looked at my nails & was really proud of myself. I’m trying to stop biting them before the wedding… This is the longest they’ve been since like 7th grade.

Went on a girl date with Sami today. She’s awesome. We couldn’t find her car when we left the mall.

We went to a thrift store that had these die-cut shapes. Apparently dinosaurs are Western. They were in there with the cowboy boots.

Then my mom sent me this picture… Brace Books, one of my favorite stores in my hometown, set up our wedding registry table since our shower is this weekend (: I’m so stoked!

My day started off with me doing my make-up. I picked some bright colors for spring.

A spider attacked me. Laker apparently thought it was funny. But he killed the little nasty.

Then we got Taco Bell for lunch. I became the Mayor.

This is what central Oklahoma weather has been like lately. Lots & lots of clouds.

One of the thrift stores we went to had these crazy Barbies… They had a punk-ish one, & the one in the middle was some kind of murderer… The bowl she’s holding has an arm in it. & the one on the right is a sugar skull.

This is all the stuff I got for the date I’m planning for Laker. The bacon, mac & cheese, peanut butter, & pretzels are for some recipes I’m trying out, & the sidewalk chalk, water balloons, & bubble wands are just for fun. It’ll be the best picnic ever (:

I wanted to make sure no one ate the bacon before the picnic (The rest of the stuff is hidden in my room) so I made this sign for it. Hopefully it’ll get the point across.

These were the treasures I bought from a thrift store that day. A neat case in a pretty yellow for my craft supplies, & a vase for a craft project I’m about to do (: I’ll show the finished project when it’s done!

I bought some new shorts. This rock was in the pocket. Apparently it’s from when they stone-washed the denim. At least that’s what Blake told me. (:

Half my diet lately consists of tea, toast, & oatmeal.
