Shenanigans.

I really need to learn to control my mouth when I’m tired. Or at least refrain from tweeting.

Nails: China Glaze For Audrey. Toes: China Glaze Frostbite.

Cafe 7 date with the husband (: I had a banana pepper & pepperoni pizza. So good.

Also had a grasshopper cupcake from The Sweetery Eatery.

One of the Pilates studios I work at is in a fitness center, & the bathroom has razors available… I find that odd.

My mother-in-law crocheted this cute Easter bunny banner for me (:

Laker made pork, baked beans, & baked potatoes the other night. He’s the greatest & I’m the luckiest.

He also made Funfetti milkshakes <3

Yesterday morning consisted of almond tea with coconut milk (in my Beauty & the Beast mug!) & hanging out in my knee socks.

I cut my bangs. I always forget how much hair I have… This is just from giving my bangs a trim & thinning them.

My make-up for Eloi Eloi practice. I always try to get pictures of my make-up & it just never works. I promise it looks way cooler in person.

It was crazy windy.

Got a free Fruitista Freeze because Taco Bell messed up my order. So that was neat.

Eloi Eloi practice was the greatest. Love these people <3

This is what my mornings at work usually look like.

My tea came in the mail today! I ordered a Peeta blend & the White Tea of Gondor (so clever), & got free samples of almond oolong & honeybush vanilla. I tried the Peeta already… Pretty great (:

Outfits today: Left is for work, & then right is for after. I actually got to put on shorts! I had to wear a jacket, but still…

I had to do a muscle analysis for work (basically the trainers studied me to see where I had muscle imbalances as practice for a certification they have to do). As a thank you, one of them gave me this adorable headband. I love it (:

Everything Else.

I did my nails in messy polka dots.

Found a bunch of scarves I forgot I had.

My parents got us a blu ray player, among other things. Of course Hunger Games was the first thing we watched!

At any given point in time, something I’m wearing is probably either leather or lace. This day, it was both.

More sweet clouds.

I had two life-changing realizations in one week. I haven’t been the same sense.

Temple sent me this text on NYE. She knows what’s important about this year.

I’ve been drinking so much tea lately. It give me more chances to appreciate my mug collection.

I made a chocolate chip cookie in the Pikachu mug I made for Laker.

More tea (:

I miss wearing color. Work only lets me be murdered out. Which is nice most of the time. But not every day…

Forever one of my favorite shirts. Just call me Darth Sithney (I like puns).

I couldn’t decide if I liked this headband or if it made me look like a Snow White cheerleader bunny.

My family was in town a couple of evenings ago & we all went to Cheesecake Factory. Laker was working, so I got some Oreo cheesecake for us to share when he got off. It was fantastic (: We actually still have some left over in the fridge because we couldn’t finish it all… That’ll have to be eaten tonight.

More Christmas-y Things.

My stocking & Laker’s stocking.

I did my toenails to look like presents.

Ethan & Rachel came over for our little Christmas celebration. We all wore crazy sweaters. This picture is super fuzzy for some reason.

My amazing birthday & Christmas gifts from Rachel & Ethan. A Beauty & the Beast mug, DavidsTea’s Glitter & Gold, an owl candle, All My Friends Are Dead, & the edition of The World of Pooh that I grew up with & that made me want to start collecting. (:

Let’s admire that mug a little more closely, shall we? I think I squealed when I saw it. It’s perfect.

My outfit for Christmas with my side of the family, which we actually celebrated on my birthday. Kinda weird.

My gift from Whitney, my lifelong best friend who is now living in Indiana. It was waiting in my hometown when I arrived, & is now the oldest copy in my Alice in Wonderland collection. She’s the best (:

My littlest sisters loved the Hello Kitty hats my mother-in-law made them (:

Kamiya (the one on the left in the picture above) helped write the label on one of my gifts. I thought it was adorable.

I did my little sisters’ nails. Taryn’s were supposed to look like a sweater, & Mackenzie’s were reindeer.

Laker & I had our first Christmas celebration as a married couple! Check out the hobbit slippers I got him.

All the awesome stuff Laker got me… A red coat, Iron Man mug, two candles, my favorite soap, a Charmander shirt, a Cheshire cat tumbler, Burt’s Bees, a bracelet supporting my friend Daniel’s mission trip, the Donnie Darko blu ray, & sleep aromatherapy.

Temple gave me the best compliment ever (I blurred out the irrelevant part of the conversation).

Christmas & Birthdays & Gifts, Oh My!

More Christmas decorations I made/bought for the apartment…

Double Date Night.

Last night Laker & I went on a double date with Rachel & Ethan.

First, we got all cozied up in our comfy outfits.

Then we went to Rachel’s, where they had made nacho fixings & we all ate too much. Rachel also got me this super cute Christmas plate. I’m in love with it (I did my nails yesterday too, so I was showing them off in this picture).

After dinner, we all went to see Rise of the Guardians. It was pretty cute. Not as Christmas-y as I had hoped, but not bad. There was a guy in front of us who came by himself. He had seen it before, but he laughed louder than anyone. He apparently worked at the theater, & he gave us this big long speech about kids’ books/movies after the movie was over. We thought we’d escaped him, but I ran to the bathroom afterwards, & when I got out, he was in the lobby talking to everyone again. Ugh. He was super nice, but geez.

When we finally got away from that guy, we walked around downtown & looked at the Christmas decorations. I was the most excited! These were at the Devon tower.

Then we all went our separate ways. Laker & I stopped at a gas station & he got me a giant hot chocolate.

Then we drove around Nichols Hills & looked at lights. We found this house, which I called a “rainbow-opolis magical land,” & Laker told me that’s what I have to call it from now on. Their electric bill must be through the roof.

Excited to keep exploring all the Christmas fun around Oklahoma!

More things.

Nails

The people in my life make me feel good.

I’ve been playing a lot of Animal Crossing.

My parents-in-law took us to S&B Burgers for Laker’s birthday. I got the blue cheese burger.

I’m in love with this guy (: He’s not too fond of pictures, but I managed to get one good one!

I was told to dress “Hot Topic-y cute” for work on Saturday.

The car in front of me had a health bar. I laughed.

Yeah. He’s the greatest. We’re also really attractive & cool :P

I’ve been sick quite a bit. I’ve also been cuddling with our Pokemon blanket quite a bit.

Got my new patient paperwork for Integris Neurology. Apparently it’s totally different than the 6 pages I filled out for Integris Cardiology, so I’ve got to fill out 6 more pages.

I got to hold one of these little guys! They were selling them at the mall. I didn’t take this picture (they didn’t allow photography), but oh my gosh, they are adorable! & the one I held was even smaller than the one in this picture. I wanted one so bad, but they were $589. No thanks.

I made breakfast one morning before Laker left for work. I got tons of questions about how I made it, so I’ll simplify it for you: Take a can of crescent rolls, lay them in a circle (with the wide part of each roll in the middle, overlapping). Top with cheese, bacon (already cooked), eggs (already scrambled), & fold the crescent roll points over the top. Bake for the amount of time listed on the crescent roll can! This can also be mixed up pretty easily… Add sausage, green onion, peppers, different seasonings, etc. I found it on Pinterest, so I’m taking no credit for this idea! It’s just super simple & tasty!

Recent Events.

Just some Instagrams & iPhone photos & such.

Laker & I went to the Asian market for the first time & bought a few things to try. We got these flour/rice cakes (We love rice cakes), but ended up just being flavorless mush-balls with an odd texture.

We also got these really gross sesame candies that were basically super hard styrofoam.

& this nasty juice stuff. The flavor wasn’t bad, but the consistency was like cold vomit (We got some good things too, but I didn’t really get pictures of those).

I made brownie cupcakes for a game night… 3 were Andes mint, 3 were cinnamon sugar, 3 were chocolate chip, & 3 were Nutella.

This happened. He was so cute & old, I felt bad telling anyone. But it was just so funny.

My sister, folks…

My mom visited & bought me a new planner, The Perks of Being a Wallflower (I’ve wanted to read it since high school, but the library/bookstores in my hometown never had it!), polka dot tape, & polka dot note cards.

Had tea in my favorite owl mug.

I had an anon for like 2 minutes & it felt awesome but I think he decided I was boring, or got mad that I called him out for not realizing I’m married.

Laker brought me breakfast in bed (cinnamon sugar oatmeal).

Laker always plays with the blood pressure machines when I pick up my prescriptions.

We went grocery shopping, & it felt great to have a fridge full of mostly somewhat-healthy foods.

My father-in-law is building us a dining room table. It’s awesome so far (: It’s going to be stained dark brown.

I painted while drinking tea & watching Dead Poets Society. It was lovely, but no one warned me that it’s so incredibly sad!

As I’ve mentioned… one night I got electrocuted by my stove while cooking dinner. It made my heart act weird, so my hands were shaky, & since I couldn’t keep them steady, I poured boiling water on my hand. This is my hand covered in mustard (that helps burns, if you didn’t know).

Painted this for one of my little sisters.

Laker & I are (kind of) on a health food kick (minus my sugar cravings). He made chicken salad for dinner one night (:

I’ve also made a few smoothies in the past week or so (I collect owls, if you can’t tell from my mug/cup).

I made an awesome breakfast. Laker made bacon, & I had a frozen banana with Nutella, kiwi, & a bagel with <3 pumpkin butter. <3

Red lipstick. Side pony. Lace shirt. Glasses. GPOY.

Painted this for Colleen.

Painted pirates on my toes.

Took my hair out of a bun & it made crazy awesome (at least I think so) curls.

I’m in this Asian obsession phase. I’ve been watching an anime that my brother recommended called The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, & it’s really good. I also drank a strawberry Ramune that was super good.

A few pages from my quote journal (Please excuse my fangirl obsession with Lord of the Rings).

We had burritos the other night, & since we ran out of tortillas, we had burrito bowls for leftovers. Laker made his all artsy. I think it’s a sunflower.

There was actually a somewhat-valid explanation for this (my mother-in-law with posting a bunch of crochet baby hat pattern things on Pinterest), but it caught me totally off guard. I mean… We went from me asking if my little sisters needed backpacks to pregnancy accusations.

Laker brought me Jimmy John’s at work & surprised me with a cookie.

On my break at work today.

Sorry, I don’t usually have this many pictures, but I haven’t done an Instagram post in a while!

Follow me if you’ve got one! (sydney_aerin)

My week in Instagrams.

I finally got those awful fake nails off, & painted my nails. Funny story about this color… Don’t trust the photo because computers always make colors look different, but this color is called Cherry Fusion. It looks very pink to me, but everyone keeps telling me it’s red. Red would make a lot more sense with the whole “cherry” thing. So I think maybe I’m partially colorblind. Is that even a thing?

Played Phase 10 with Laker.

My hot Buffalo Wild Wings date, & one of my favorite drinks (:

I painted Laker’s 3 favorite Pokemon for him.

I got really tired & tweeted/talked too much again…

Today, I looked pretty girly (:

I found this mug at the Disney Store & fell in love. Apparently the little guy is from Brave. I guess I need to go see it (:

I asked my little sister if she liked Puss in Boots. This was her response (:

Then my other little sister felt like she deserved a picture too (:

I was having a rough evening, so Laker sent me this (: He’s the greatest ever.

A Week in Instagrams.

Here’s a little look at what I did this week (:

Monday consisted of relaxing… Chamomile tea, Mockingjay (no, I STILL haven’t finished it… I keep crying & having to stop), & a bubble bath.

Game night with Laker - I dominated at Blackjack.

I wore a dress.

We got a new 42” flat screen TV.

More games… Laker beat me at Yahtzee. This picture is actually him in the process of rolling a Yahtzee.

I wore another dress.

I made mint chocolate chip cookies.

Laker was really cute & sent me a text during game night, even though we were in the same room.

Eddie & Hannah at game night.

4th of July! The first picture was supposed to show off that the sides of my hair were braided back, but you can’t really tell.

Hannah & I on our way to the Wheelers’ apartment to watch Fireworks!

The Oklahoma City fireworks show… We got to watch from the roof (:

My mom came to visit & brought Laker & I Lord of the Rings t-shirts! Poor Sean Bean… Can’t even make it onto a t-shirt without getting killed.

The nails from my wedding (over a month ago) have been refusing to come off. Everyone kept telling me to soak them in acetone. It did nothing. I had to soak cotton in this weird gel stuff, put it on my nail, wrap it in foil, & peel off the nails layer by layer. It took me 4 hours to get one hand free. The moral of the story, kids, is do NOT get solar nails.

After my pinky & index nails finally came off…

Sweet freedom!

We stayed the night in Duncan (Laker’s hometown) on Friday & were pleasantly surprised with more wedding gifts.

Saturday morning, Laker’s mom made us breakfast.

Then she took us thrifting & insisted on paying for all of our treasures… A few new owls for my collection, some lace & old books for craft projects, some sewing patterns, an Alice in Wonderland VHS, & a few other things that aren’t in the photo.

She also bought me this scarf from a little boutique downtown.

Later, Laker’s extended family came over to swim & have a cookout. I adore his entire family (:

& then we found out that Kathryn’s autocorrect is a slut & corrects “have” to “ubersexual.”

Have a lovely day!
